FAA MedicalsStudents who anticipate taking flight courses at Embry-Riddle
must be able to pass and maintain a class
one or class two medical certificate. Students must renew their certificates
annually in order to continue flight training at the university. Medical
certificates can only be obtained from physicians certified by the
FAA to perform the qualifying physical examination. Note: Certain conditions, congenital or acquired, and the medications or therapies that control their symptoms may prevent, delay or invalidate medical certification. We encourage students to consult with an Aviation Medical Examiner regarding any current condition or medical problem as well as those experienced within the past three years.
