Miscellaneous Information

Banking:A survey comparing the services of banks closest to ERAU is enclosed. This information may be helpful in deciding which bank to choose before arriving in Daytona Beach. Additionally, the banks are invited to Fall Orientation; those electing to participate will be on campus Wednesday, August 20th from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.

Campus Parking: During Orientation, you are permitted to park in any campus lot without receiving a violation. However, students are required to register their vehicle, including motorcycles and bicycles by the end of the first week of classes.

Driving Directions to Campus: From I-95, take the US 92 exit. Travel east 2.4 miles to Clyde Morris Blvd. Turn right on Clyde Morris; the main entrance is on the right. From I-4, take SR 400. Travel east 3.0 miles to Clyde Morris Blvd. Turn left on Clyde Morris; the main entrance is on the left.

Health Insurance: All students must have health insurance. If you already have private health insurance, please contact the plan administrator to review your benefits and exclusions while enrolled at the university; some plans do not cover care if you are "out of network". If your plan will cover your medical needs, you may complete an online waiver to opt out of the university's policy and avoid the premium charge to your tuition bill. To review the benefits and exclusions of the university's policy, please log on to www.uhcsr.com. To file an online waiver, please log on to www.srstudentcenter.com. The deadline to complete the waiver is September 2, 2008.

Lodging:  For information concerning hotel and motel accommodations, please visit the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau at www.daytonabeach.com.   

Transportation to Daytona Beach:  Taxi fare from the Daytona Beach International Airport to campus is approximately $10.00 per person.

The Orlando International Airport is approximately 90 minutes from Daytona Beach. Airport Shuttle service is available from Orlando to Daytona. For airport shuttle information and reservations call the Daytona-Orlando Transit Service, Inc (DOTS) at 386-257-541.
