First-Year Programs
The
First-Year Programs team consists of highly qualified academic advisors, student
assistants, peer mentors, and tutors. Dedicated to helping students achieve
their academic goals, the team works together to help students find answers
to their questions and aid in their transition to college life. From social
events to academic advising, First-Year Programs helps students find what they
need to be successful at Embry-Riddle and in life.
At First-Year Programs we:
- Assist with the transition to university life
- Map out a semester-by-semester plan of study, based on your needs and interests
- Assist in the registration process
- Offer tutoring and study groups
- Teach effective study skills and time management strategies
- Describe University procedures, educational opportunities, and degree programs;
and
- Refer students to the appropriate sources of information and specialized services on campus.
