Non-Traditional Applicant Checklist
You are a non-traditional student if your academic career has been
interrupted for a minimum of three years due to personal or financial
reasons, the care of dependents, or serving time in the U.S. military.

Official High School Transcripts or GED scores

$50 non-refundable application fee
If you are applying online, you will be given the option to submit
your application fee electronically. If you are submitting a paper
application, include a check or money order made payable to Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University. Please print your name and social security
number on the check and submit it with your application.

Resume
Non-traditional students must submit a resume that includes a complete
history of academic and extra-curricular activities, accomplishments,
activities, awards, honors, employment, etc.

Transcripts from other colleges if applicable.

Letters of recommendation
Obtain letters from teachers, employers or community leaders who
can address areas of your background that are not always evident
in your academic record. We suggest you submit two letters of recommendation.
Forms are available for your convenience and you can download them here in
PDF format. The forms are not required, letters of recommendation submitted by your
references are acceptable.
If you have military experience:
Optional Information
Flight students must also submit a copy of their FAA
medical certificate before enrolling in flight classes. Although these
medical certifications are not required for acceptance to the University,
we highly recommend that you secure your medical certificate and submit
it directly to the admissions office before you arrive on campus.
