A Growing Need for Security Professionals
As
homeland security issues continue to dominate the news, Embry-Riddle is pleased
to be the first university to offer residential undergraduate students a new
and exciting major that focuses on our nation's demand for security professionals.
Embry-Riddle students in the Homeland Security
program (offered as both a major and minor program of study) will gain expertise
in:
Emergency planning and response,
Investigation and law enforcement,
Security and risk analysis and more.
Graduates will be well prepared to take on the challenges of national security,
a rapidly growing concern. Federal Air Marshals, border patrol agents, infrastructure
analysts, and technological hazards specialists are in great demand. Students
in the program will gain the expertise required for these positions and others,
with the added benefit of a solid understanding of aviation, its operations
and impact on national security.
The
program complements the successful Global Security and Intelligence Studies
major offered at the Prescott campus, as well as Embry-Riddle's other degree
offerings including aeronautical science, safety science, computer studies,
and aviation business administration.
Combined with our reputation as leader
in aviation education, our state-of-the-art facilities, world-class faculty
and industry relationships, Embry-Riddle is the best choice for your study
in homeland security.
