Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use my meal plan?
With the Embry-Riddle Dining Services Meal Plan, you don't have to worry about carrying cash. All of your meals and Riddle Bucks are safely and securely accessed through your Eagle Card. If your card is lost or stolen, it can be deactivated 24 hours a day by going to the Eagle Card Center Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm or by calling the Safety Office at 386-226-6480 after hours, or simply log in to ERNIE, click on "Go to Blackboard home", and select the Eagle Card tab. Present your Eagle Card at any dining location to make purchases; you'll never have to worry about scrounging for change again!
What exactly do I get with a meal plan?
All freshman meal plans include a complimentary Birthday Cake! Just stop by the Student Center Food Court on your birthday to pick it up!
Most meal plans come with Riddle Bucks (you must purchase a Meal Plan to participate and unused Riddle Bucks will roll over from semester to semester). Use your Riddle Bucks like cash to grab a snack without worrying that you're wasting a full meal on a bag of chips. Riddle Bucks are better than cash, you receive a 15% discount at dining facilities. That is a 15% savings!! Deposit $100.00 and get $115.00 in purchasing power!! That's value and great savings!! Riddle Bucks are also accepted at The Einstein's Convenience Store without the discount.
To add Riddle Bucks or to upgrade your plan, sign up at the following locations: Student Orientation, Student Center Food Court Meal Plan Office or simply call Dining Services at 386-226-6067. Remember that meal plans are non-transferable. Meal plans cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
Will a meal plan fit with my schedule?
Embry-Riddle Dining Services knows that your class schedule can be hectic and finding time to eat difficult. Unless they have installed tray tables and cup holders in the planes and desks, it can be tough to squeeze in a meal sometimes. They haven't... so we're here to help. Embry-Riddle Dining Services has locations near the dorms and classrooms with hours starting at 7:00 am and open until 1:00 am to help fit nutritious meal into your schedule.
Will a meal plan fit with my diet?
Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact Steve Andrade, General Manager, at 386-226-6378.

A meal consists of one entrée (Hot Entrée, Stir-Fry, Sandwich, Burger, Etc.), three side items (Vegetables, Bread, Starch or Potato, Salad, Soup, Dessert, Etc.), and unlimited fountain beverage refills (Please use the special meal plan cups provided).

The typical meal at the Student Center consists of:

Can I have Double Dinners?
You want two lasagnas, you got it! Yes! It still includes all the side items!! In the Student Center during dinner ask for two entrées for an extreme value meal. This value is for meal plan participants only, at the Pandemonium area.
When and where can I eat?
The meal plan period runs from 12:00 am Sunday to 11:59 pm Saturday night. Meals are "use it or lose it" in nature. Early morning classes usually mean you'll travel from your bed to class, so how can you expect to grab breakfast along the way? And what are you supposed to do when you're staying up late for an exam? The hours of operation give you the flexibility to eat when it's most convenient for you. Each location has its own hours of operation, so look at each of the locations' pages (see left menu links) for more information.
