... the development of contingency routing plans to ensure that international civil aviation can continue its operations during times of global crises. He was instrumental in developing such plans for the circumnavigation of Iraq and Afghanistan during recent military actions in those countries. He has worked at ICAO’s Regional Office in Paris, France for four years as a Technical Officer where he assisted the Eastern European and ex-Soviet States in developing their air navigation infrastructures.
As an air traffic controller, Mr. Galotti has worked for the Federal Aviation Administration in the New York Air Route Traffic Control Centre and spent six years in Saudi Arabia as an air traffic controller and air traffic services instructor, working for ICAO. He obtained a Bachelor of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle through independent study while working in the Middle East and obtained a Master of Aeronautical Science Degree in 1991 while working as a research associate and adjunct faculty at Embry-Riddle. Mr. Galotti has written a textbook on the Future Air Navigation System (FANS), which is used at several institutions and universities around the world.
