All applicants must complete an application form, and submit a non-refundable
fee in U.S. funds of $50. You may apply online or download, print and
send in the completed application form. When applying online, you still
need certain forms. See the forms page. You may also
pay application fee online.

Students for whom English is not the primary language of instruction
must either attain a minimum score on the Test of English as a Foreign
Language (TOEFL) or successfully complete Embry-Riddle’s Language Institute.
Minimum preferred scores are 550 on the paper-based exam and 213 on
the computer-based exam. Scores must be sent directly to Embry-Riddle
by the testing agency. To obtain a TOEFL application and information,

Embry-Riddle Language
Institute
The Embry-Riddle Language Institute (ERLI) offers intensive English
language programs. The Office of International and Graduate Admissions
may offer conditional admission to applicants that meet all requirements
for admission to undergraduate or graduate programs, but who have not
achieved the level of English skill necessary for admission. These conditionally
accepted students MUST attend ERLI in at least the first semester of
their degree program and continue until they have attained the required
English proficiency. For more information regarding the Language Institute please visit the ERLI site . Students who have not yet applied to a degree program

Note: Successful completion of ERLI prior to acceptance to a degree
program does not guarantee admission to an Embry-Riddle degree program.

International Students must have sufficient funds for their expenses during
the entire period of study, including living costs, travel and vacation.
International Students will have the opportunity to seek part-time jobs
on campus to supplement their income. Payment for tuition, fees, housing
and meals are due by the first day of class of each semester. Acceptable
methods of payment are credit cards and checks issued by a U.S. bank and
made payable to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Other payment options
are available through the student accounting department. Tuition Deposits.
International students must pay a deposit of $200. This amount is applied
directly to the student’s account and will be credited toward tuition.
An Affidavit of Financial Support is required for all international students
who will require an I-20 or DS-2019. See below.

In order to be considered a legal document, the Affidavit of Financial
Support must be attested, notarized, or certified. A bank or scholarship
letter, no more than six months old, addressed to Embry-Riddle, is required.
The letter must guarantee the availability of sufficient funds to cover
tuition and fees, living expenses (room and board), books, medical insurance,
and personal expenses for two semesters. See the Affidavit
of Financial Support. The application is a .pdf file (46k) and requires
Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Affidavit of Financial Support is included
there for downloading and printing. Fill out the form and return it
with your application.)

R e a p p l i c a t i o n
Applications will remain open for one year from the date received. After
one year, all applicants are required to reapply and resubmit all required
documentation and meet the admissions criteria in effect at the time
of reapplication. Please note: All materials submitted become the property
of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and cannot be reproduced, returned,
or forwarded.
F l i g h t S t u d e n t s
All fight students must provide Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Medical Certificate, Class I or II, at least 60 calendar days before
the desired enrollment date. Students who do not have access to an FAA
approved physician may take this exam after arriving in the United States.
All students (international and domestic) enrolled in any flight program
will be required to complete additional federal screening procedures.
R e t u r n i n g S t u d e n t s
A student whose attendance at Embry-Riddle is interrupted is required
to apply for readmission. You are a returning student if you have enrolled
at another institution without prior written approval, have completed
more than 18 semester hours at another institution, fail to enroll in
at least one Embry-Riddle course in any two calendar years, or have
been suspended from the University. To be readmitted, you must file
a new application for admission with the Office of International & Graduate
Admissions.
