Aeronautical Science Graduates Have Pipeline to CareersOver the years, Embry-Riddle has had in place one or more New-Hire Programs with commercial airlines. The programs are implemented and designed to provide exceptional opportunities for Embry-Riddle graduates with Aeronautical Science degrees to become new-hire pilots with airlines upon graduation. These relationships currently include:

Students who successfully complete the internship will be offered an interview for an open pilot position once candidates meet published flight minimums.

 American Eagle-ERAU Alliance provides those graduates who meet the following criteria a guaranteed interview:
- BS Degree in Aeronautical Science
GPA 3.0
- Simulator Evaluation
- Recommendation Letter from the Dean of the College of Aviation
- Medical and appropriate ratings

Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Program provides an interview to Embry-Riddle graduates who have completed the CRJ Course and who meet the following criteria:
- Letter of reccomendation from the Aeronautical Science Department
- Appropriate ratings and certificates
- 350/25 flight hours

Colgan Air offers seniors and graduates who meet the current hiring requirements the opportunity to interview for open pilot positions at reduced flight hour minimums, at the discretion of the airline.

| Spirit Airlines and ERAU have formed an understanding with respect to Spirit Airlines employee recruitment and interviewing policy in connection with ERAU students.
 Applicants who successfully complete the Spirit Airlines interview process will be offered full-time employment within the flight operations area. Successful candidates will be guaranteed an interview for a line pilot position based on Spirit Airlines hiring needs within 1-2 years!

 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has entered into a Pilot Provisioning Services Agreement with Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. This program will provide some students with the opportunity to be fast-tracked into an airline First Officer position flying CRJs at Pinnacle. Contact Brian Carhide, the Program Manager for the flight department for additional information. |
Internships
We have successfully made arrangements wilth many airlines to place our students as interns for on-the-job, real-world airline learning experiences. The listing of our internship agreements is extensive and may be reviewed at the Career Services Web site.
Airline Pilot Area of Concentration
The Airline Pilot Area of Concentration curriculum now accommodates airline-specific training directly related to airline operations. Aircraft and engine systems, resource management, airline pilot operations and airline-specific training can be included in pilot bridge programs. New Aeronautical Science students should check with the department for current program application information.
Certified Flight Instructors
Embry-Riddle continues to employ many of our undergrads as well as graduates and others as Certified Flight Instructors (CFI's) within our flight department. Flight instructor experience has been invaluable to young pilots with airline pilot career aspirations. Testimony of the industry's respect for these aviators lies in their employment opportunities beyond Embry-Riddle.
