Mission Statement
The mission of the College of Aviation:
To prepare individuals to assume leadership roles in the aviation industry
through academic degree and other educational programs which include: professional
pilot; aviation weather and meteorology, safety, and air traffic management.
To maintain international leadership in aviation education through recruiting,
mentoring, and nurturing top quality faculty; encouraging scholarship, service,
and teaching within the faculty of the College.
To provide entrepreneurial directions in aviation education such as acquiring
and integrating into the curriculum airline-quality aircraft simulation for
the ab-initio student; acquiring and integrating into the curriculum affordable
jet aircraft for the training aircraft mix for the ab-initio student; and
acquiring and integrating appropriate elements of virtual reality simulation.
