Mission Statement

The College’s fundamental purpose is to assist in providing a quality education to the students of the university so that they become knowledgeable and skilled citizens who engage in the pursuit of intellectual truth, help constitute an informed electorate, and contribute to economic growth and prosperity. The College of Arts and Sciences is committed to its instructional mission; to performing basic research to expand the bounds of knowledge; to using applied research to translate knowledge into practice; and to providing service to institutions and organizations.
