A Winning Combination: Earn Your Embry-Riddle Degree and Study Abroad

Embry-Riddle's International Programs allows students to study abroad for the summer or for a dual degree program.

 Programs Overview

Embry-Riddle Study Abroad programs work with the Global Engineering Education Exchange (Global-E3) and with many independent partner institutions to provide a variety of international study options:

  • Take classes in the country of your choice

  • Obtain a dual degree (where available)

  • Participate in special technical programs (i.e. computer-aided design, engineering, international business, etc.)

  • Experience an international internship

  • Develop valuable second language skills

  • Develop multi-cultural communication skills

  • Take summer courses

Courses of Study

The study abroad program is available to students of all majors in the bachelor's and master's level programs.  Students are expected to obtain credit applicable to their field of study during the time spent abroad.

Eligibility

To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements before studying abroad:
  • Be at least in sophomore standing by the start of the exchange program

  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA; 3.0 for Dual Degree programs.

  • Have substantial knowledge of the host country's language for programs where courses will be taken primarily in the corresponding foreign language (summer programs do NOT require any foreign language experience).

How To Participate

The first step in your journey should be to fill out an Interest Form. It is the best way that we have of knowing what the students want to study and where. This allows us to better tailor our programs to your needs. Please fill it out as completely as you can and submit it to your International Programs Office.  Remember that long-term international programs are inherently different from one student to the next. It is therefore imperative that you work with us to find the right match for you. However, please keep in mind that this is your journey, and we are but a guiding light in the process. Therefore, students are expected to research the schools they are interested in and be familiar with the courses that they are looking to take. Many school Web sites offer extensive information on the courses they offer, and matching their courses with the courses at ERAU is usually the first step students should take in the planning process. Keep in mind that flexibility is KEY in any international program, so please make sure you try to find as many courses as possible.

Summer Programs are also available!!

Our most popular programs are by far our Summer Programs. All programs are 4-5 weeks long and include two courses which can transfer to almost any major our school offers. Tuition for these programs is HALF PRICE making it actually cheaper to travel and take the exact same courses (with the exact same ERAU professors!) in another country than it is to stay on campus.

If you are interested in our Summer Programs, please visit the Summer Programs page for more information. Spots on these programs are limited and fly fast so make sure you apply today!
