Biodiesel Fuel Production and Testing for an Aerospace Class Jet Engine

PI Marc Compere

The research project is studying the production of a standards compliant bio-diesel fuel from the campus cafeteria's waste cooking oil using the bio-diesel reactor in the Mechanical Engineering department.

This fuel is being designed to be used in a converted General Electric J-85 turbojet or Pratt & Whitney J-60 turbojet.
