Graduate students from across the globe now have access to the Aviation and Aerospace Sustainability Certificate Program. Students earn 12 graduate-level credits, which can go towards a master's degree at Embry-Riddle. This program leads students towards the online Master of Science in Aviation and Aerospace Sustainability degree by taking 18 additional graduate credits.

About Aviation and Aerospace Sustainability at the Worldwide & Online Campus
Courses prepare and train applicants with applicable theory, real-world applications, tools, and frameworks they need to develop and implement plans for sustainable aviation and aerospace practices. The certificate sets the foundations of sustainability and explains the application of the three pillars within the aviation and aerospace organizations. Environmental management systems, emissions schemes for the industry, life cycle assessment, and sustainable fuels are some of the main topics elaborated within the courses offered.
The content includes an in-depth technical aspect of sustainability, analyzing concepts that currently affect the industry, including legal and ethical issues that concern the industry. Students also gain access to the EAGLES alumni network, consisting of more than 140,000 leaders and practitioners in every industry on every continent.
To meet the requirements of the certificate, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for the series of courses in the certificate program and complete the certificate within three years.
The Aviation and Aerospace Sustainability professional graduate certificate considers how stakeholders, including society, governments, and the aviation industry, need to respond to the concerns of global climate change, aircraft noise disturbance, resource use, and waste production. This certificate is designed for those who are in the aviation and aerospace fields and want to gain an advantage for job advancement and demonstrate their expertise in sustainability. Courses are designed to prepare and train applicants with pertinent theory, real world application, and different tools and frameworks to develop and implement sustainable aviation and aerospace solutions.
Note: Certificate programs are not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid unless taken as part of a degree program.
