  • The need for qualified salespeople is increasing in the workforce with the number of sales jobs up to 15.8 million, a jump over the past four years of 445,000 (Bureau of Labor, 2013). While there has been growth in colleges offering sales curriculum (Cummins, Peltier, Erffmeyer, & Whalen, 2013; Deeter-Schmelz & Kennedy, 2011; Dixon & Tanner, 2012), there is still unmet demand for sales jobs with sales representatives being the second hardest job to fill this year , a trend that has endured since 2006 (Manpower Survey, 2013).

  • Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) is characterized by identification and reduction of risks focused on the entire supply chain associated with three different flows namely, material, financial, and informational flow. Using event study methods, we empirically investigate the effect on a firm's equity price (financial flow) related to delays, supplier issues and other issues associated with the firm's supply chain in the Aviation and Aerospace industry.

  • This research will examine the role of cognitive predisposition in the ability of university students to operationalize innovation. Using Regulatory Focus Theory as a lens, different university curricula from schools teaching innovation will be compared to determine if there is a specific way in which innovation could be taught to allow the most number of students to operationalize the concept of innovation. Finally, innovation as a concept will be connected to entrepreneurship and creativity and the scope of the research widened for further study.

  • This continuing research project features refinement of UAS application methods to support of ARFF responses. Previously, modeling and simulation, in combination with UAS attribute performance models, was implemented to better understand challenges, limitations, and potential benefits of UAS support. However, based on the findings and recommendations of the original inquiry, the research will be expanded to include examination of operator knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs), performance rating standards, and appropriate training requirements and delivery approaches.
