The overall goal of this research project is to investigate the essential knowledge, skills and abilities, and attitudes (KSAs) that are indicative of successful UAS operator performance.

The specific technical objectives are to:

  1. Develop a theoretically-based taxonomy of the factors (e.g., KSAs) that may influence UAS operator performance
  2. Identify valid and reliable measures for assessing a prioritized subset of these factors
  3. Validate these factors in operationally relevant scenarios.
