Program Details

The Master of Space Operations (MSO) was developed to train tomorrow’s leaders in the organization, implementation and completion of successful missions to space.

Courses explore key areas inherent to space mission programs, including space mission operations, spacecraft systems, human space flight, system safety, human factors, space law and program management.

This program is designed for space industry professionals looking to enhance their knowledge and research skills, as well as STEM professionals outside the space industry looking for new opportunities.

Note: A Master of Science in Space Operations is available on our Daytona Beach, Florida, campus.

The Master of Science in Space Systems (MSSS) explores topics rooted in technical understanding, systems engineering and program management. Courses provide students with foundational knowledge of space systems and aerospace engineering technologies.

Students explore the technological principles and engineering foundations for space operations while participating in strategic planning and execution of missions.

This program welcomes students who come from engineering backgrounds and want to expand beyond engineering and gain knowledge about program management in the context of the space business and policy environment.

Master of Space Operations

  • Analyze the technical characteristics and performance parameters of current and future systems and components in the context of a space system.
  • Create strategies for developing space systems which optimally achieve mission, financial and organizational goals.
  • Design a range of space systems using systems engineering principles.

Master of Science in Space Systems

  • Apply STEM principles and theory necessary for conducting spaceflight operations.
