Flight Student Checklist
- Pre-Flight Checklist
- Secure First or Second Class Medical reflecting your full legal name. The FAA website includes a list of Aviation Medical Examiners who can administer this exam. Students will not be able to register for a flight course until appropriate medical certification has been secured and provided to the flight department. Important note: Securing your Medical Certificate may take a significant amount of time, so we strongly encourage you to begin the process as soon as you are admitted. Any history of ADHD or ADHD medications will require FAA review, and possible further examination, to determine if a medical certificate can be issued — review updated policies regarding ADHD diagnosis here. You can find additional information regarding prohibited medications here.
- Before your arrival, submit copies of flight certificates earned. Fax the signed certificate, front and back, to 386-226-7070. In addition, bring originals for scanning during orientation.
- Provide proof of U.S. citizenship (or TSA approval upon arrival).
