What You'll Learn: Specialized Program Outcomes
Embry‑Riddle’s Communication program allows students to grow their communication skills, learn to gather and disseminate information to a variety of audiences and explore theory and practices across multiple communication fields, including journalism, public relations and technical communication.
Our Daytona Beach Campus is home to an award-winning student news broadcast and newspaper where students can gain hands-on experience right on campus. Students have the option to pursue the Broadcast Meteorology track, which includes specialized courses in Applied Climatology, Satellite and Radar Weather Interpretation, Climate Change and more.
Our Worldwide Communication program holds a prestigious STEM designation, recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under CIP code 09.0702: Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia. This online program allows students to specialize in one of two areas: Aviation, Science & Technology Communication or Crisis, Risk & Resilience Communication. These one-of-a-kind options provide a distinct advantage in career opportunities after graduation.
At Daytona Beach and Worldwide, you can specialize your learning by adding a minor to your study plan. Enhance your knowledge in subjects like International Relations, Marketing or Project Management, to name just a few, and tailor your degree to your career goals.
Also at both campuses, the Communication program culminates in either a senior project or an internship.
