Accreditation

Student Grievance
Embry-Riddle Worldwide students are provided the opportunity to express any complaints, grievances, or disputes through Embry-Riddle Worldwide support system.
Students are encouraged to first address any issues with the faculty or staff member for which the grievance is based. If unresolved, the student should provide a written document outlining the situation and submit it to their advisor. It may be necessary for the advisors to elevate the issue to the correct department chair, director or dean.
Distance Education Student Grievance Process
Out-of-state distance education students participating under the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), who have completed the internal institutional grievance process and the applicable state grievance process, may appeal non-instructional complaints to the FL‐SARA PRDEC Council. Individual state policies can be found in the drop-down menu below. For additional information on the FL-SARA Complaint Process, please visit https://www.fldoe.org/sara/student-concerns.stml.
The State of California is not a member of NC-SARA. As such, residents of this state may not appeal through these means and should consult their home state grievance process.

- Students will not be subject to adverse actions by the institution as a result of filing a grievance with the state.
Refund Policy:
- Students may drop a course through their academic advisor with no notation of course enrollment on their transcripts or financial penalty during the drop period only. All student drop requests must be submitted in writing, and require counseling with an academic advisor, in order to be processed. Due to the compressed term schedules at Worldwide locations, the drop period extends through the first four class days of each term, ending at 11:59pm EST on that final day. Deadlines are enforced using Eastern Standard Time (EST), in keeping with the location of ERAU Worldwide’s headquarters. Tuition is not refunded after the conclusion of the drop period, unless required by state law or via an approved exception.
- A late drop is defined as any drop after the completion of add/drop period and prior to the mid-point of the course, and is reviewed as an exception to policy. Students petitioning for a late drop from a course must provide a written petition along with third-party documentation explaining their extenuating circumstances, such as military assignment, medical emergency, etc. Each petition is considered individually; not all petitions are approved, nor all waivers granted.
- Students are not permitted to drop a course while an academic integrity violation is pending.
- Students with a Home Address in the State of Georgia or are taking on site classes at an ERAU Site in the State of Georgia, will have that state's refund policy apply to them respectively.

- If a complaint is within WSAC's jurisdiction, a student must provide proof of completion of the school's complaint process - including any provisions for appeals.
- WSAC cannot investigate complaints regarding grades, disciplinary actions, or conduct unless a student can prove that the school has not followed published procedures or policies.
- WSAC will not accept anonymous complaints or complaints that are currently in litigation.
- Please be advised that copies of complaints may be made available to the school involved and to other federal, state, or private agencies. Copies will also be made available, without personally identifiable information, to members of the public upon request.
