As a parent or family member of a new Eagle, you’re an important part of your student’s journey. From academic milestones to campus events, these tips will help you stay informed, involved and confident as your student settles into life at the Prescott Campus.

#1: Join the Parent & Family Association

Become part of our supportive community and connect with fellow families. The Parent & Family Association provides updates, event invitations and important reminders to help you stay in the know. Sign up for the Parent & Family Newsletter to receive resources and updates designed just for you.

#2: Learn About FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects your student’s privacy. Unless your student grants you access, the university can’t share academic or financial information. Encourage your student to set up parent access via ERNIE. Learn more on our FERPA Information Page.

#3: Find Lodging in Prescott

Prescott offers cozy hotels, historic inns and local vacation rentals just minutes from campus. Whether you're visiting for move-in, Family Weekend or graduation, be sure to check Embry‑Riddle's list of lodging options, read reviews and inquire about potential Embry‑Riddle discounts before booking.

#4: Review the Move-In Guide

Help your student prepare for dorm life with our detailed Move-In Guide, which includes a “What to Bring” checklist, residence hall information and move-in dates. Students will live in a scenic, secure environment where adventure and learning go hand in hand.

#5: Bookmark the Academic Calendar

Stay on top of key dates like semester start/end, holiday breaks and graduation. The Academic Calendar is your go-to for planning trips, booking accommodations and supporting your student during important academic milestones.

#6: Attend Family Weekend

Experience life as an Eagle during our annual Family Weekend each fall. Enjoy campus tours, faculty meet-and-greets, social events and Arizona’s beautiful autumn weather. It’s a chance to reconnect and share your students’ college experiences.

#7: Track Student Financial Services Deadlines

Keep an eye on tuition deadlines, payment plans and financial aid processes. Your student can grant you account access through ERNIE if you’d like to help manage tuition and payments. Flight students should also plan for additional pay-as-you-go flight fees. Visit our Student Financial Services page for details.

#8: Explore the ERAU Prescott Bookstore

From Eagle apparel to textbooks, the Prescott Campus Bookstore has you covered. Shop online or in person for spirit gear, tech accessories and academic essentials. Show your Eagle pride wherever you go!

#10: Cheer on the Eagle Athletics
