Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University’s College of Business, Security and Intelligence is the first and only college of its kind in the nation — with opportunities and esteem that helps set students apart from their peers after graduation.

Our faculty members include former FBI agents, DIA intelligence officers, polygraph examiners and so much more. Students gain access to study materials, in-person opportunities, lab experiences and real-world connections that prepare them for a bright future outside of the classroom.

Cyber Intel for Tomorrow

The Department of Cyber Intelligence and Security aims to prepare students for the future, meeting the evolving challenges faced by corporate and public organizations as they detect, identify, assess, mitigate, respond to and recover from cyber threats.

The department offers both a bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Cyber Intelligence and Security to prepare students for productive careers and leadership roles in service around the world. Both degree programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and approved by the Arizona Board of Education.

Our B.S. in Cyber Intelligence and Security has a proven record of leading to student success. According to our most recent surveys, 100% of alumni find employment or choose to continue their education within one year of graduation, earning an average salary of more than $92K.

Distinction Through Partnership

In 2024, Embry‑Riddle joined forces with NASA and the National Science Foundation to address the increasingly important field of aviation cybersecurity – an opportunity made possible by Embry‑Riddle's reputation as a global leader in aviation cybersecurity and designation as an NSF CyberCorps® Scholarship for Service institution.

Securing Our Future

The Department of Global Security and Intelligence Studies offers a bachelor's degree in Global Security and Intelligence Studies which builds an advanced foundation for students while emphasizing key elements of identifying security and intelligence threats and implementing strategies to neutralize them.

We also offer a master's degree in Security and Intelligence Studies which builds upon the foundations of the bachelor's program to train expert security and intelligence professionals.

Embry‑Riddle's CBSI has an ongoing partnership with Verensics, which uses artificial intelligence and psychological tools to screen employees for corporate security and fraud prevention. Each year, students are selected to participate in an internship that allows them to gain real-world experience while building their knowledge and skills in security and intelligence – all while boosting their resumes.
