Background
In compliance with ERAU's Academic Policy AP-08, the University requires each academic program to conduct a comprehensive Program Review every 7-10 years to ascertain the program’s relevance to the University’s central mission, enhance its effectiveness, determine its viability within the institution, and discover its potential to contribute to the future development of the university. Every program is afforded a mechanism by which to make a request for financial resources through the university budgeting process to facilitate needed improvements.
Process
Degree program faculty generate program review reports via a standardized, online template. The Program Review Committee reviews the program reports and submits recommendations to the degree program faculty. Program faculty respond to these recommendations. Chief Academic Officers, in collaboration with College Deans and Department Chairs, review all program review documentation and create a Strategic Action Improvement Plan, which outlines action items for each reviewed degree program.
