Overview

Dr. Gupta is a Professor of Decision Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide.

His current research interests are in the areas of supply-chain risk management, health-care operations management, reverse logistics, closed-loop supply chains, queuing networks, and service quality in aviation industry. He has authored articles that have appeared in journals, guides, industry reports, and conference proceedings. He has taught several courses in Operations Research, Transportation Management, Operations Management, Purchasing, Project Management, Probability and Statistics, Discrete Optimization, Logistics Management, and Supply Chain Management.

Ph.D. - Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering, University of Louisville

M.S. - Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, SUNY College at Buffalo

Prior to Embry-Riddle, Dr. Gupta worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate for more than a year in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Louisville. He also worked in industry for more than 5 years in the areas of logistics and supply chain management.

In 2015, he was recognized by the College of Business with the Faculty of the Year Award. In 2013, his accomplishments were recognized with the Outstanding Accomplishments in Research award by the Worldwide campus. In 2012, he was awarded the postdoctoral research award by the Logistics and Distribution Institute at the University of Louisville. He was also awarded the Doctoral Dissertation award by the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Louisville in 2007.
