Built on Legacy, Driven By a Culture of Excellence
The Golden Eagles Flight Team was founded in 1979 as the first student organization established at Embry-Riddle's Prescott campus. Since then, the team has remained grounded in the core values that define champions: legacy, pride, safety and responsibility.
Today's success is built on the foundation laid by exceptional coaches and devoted team members who have passed down a culture of excellence across generations. Embry-Riddle Prescott provides the team with unwavering support, resources, opportunities and encouragement, helping the Golden Eagles thrive and succeed at the highest level.
Through year-round training and relentless dedication, the Golden Eagles continue to pursue competitive excellence on the national stage.
By the Numbers
The Golden Eagles compete annually at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference — SAFECON — where student pilots are tested on precision flying, ground events and aviation knowledge.
With 16 national championships, Embry-Riddle Prescott stands among the elite programs in collegiate aviation competition.
