John R. Willey

Overview

John R. Willey was born immediately after World War II to a U. S. Navy pilot, Pacific Theater veteran. We lived the East Coast West Coast life until retirement. I attended the University of Florida on a football scholarship and was there with Steve Spurrier (as a player, not coach) and Jack Youngblood.  I attended the University of West Florida for a year and went on to Florida State University to receive my PhD in English. I have written many online courses, taught on military bases for over thirty years and hope to do so for many more.

Ph.D. - Doctor of Philosophy in English, Florida State University

M.Ed. - Master of Education in Educational Leadership, The University of West Florida

M.A. - Master of Arts in English, The University of West Florida

B.A. - Bachelor of Arts in English, University of Florida

Grant to work at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston with the Hemingway Collection.

Research

In Academia.com John currently has a paper titled "Hemingway and Conrad" exploring the relationship between early works of Hemingway and the influence of particular works of Joseph Conrad.
