Pratik Sarker joined Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott Campus as an assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering in Spring 2022. He earned a doctorate in Engineering and Applied Science from the University of New Orleans in 2018.
Prior to joining Embry-Riddle, Sarker served as a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville through 2019. He later worked as a project engineer for Detroit Engineered Products, where he supported aero-thermal and propulsion system projects for vehicles and led light- and heavy-duty truck programs.
His research interests include advanced numerical analysis and simulation involving vibration control, aerodynamics, fluid-structure interaction, thermal analysis and energy harvesting.
