Overview

As an adjunct instructor for ERAU, I am also employed as a Project Consultant for Florida Blue, a Healthcare Solutions Company. I provide tactical leadership and technical expertise for planning, managing and implementation of large projects. Also identify and resolve project-related issues and risks, by providing advice and counsel to the various business partners that impacts business decisions and objectives. I am accountable for the financial management of assigned projects, including reviewing integration opportunities, cost reductions and benefit realization. Previously, as a Senior Manager I was responsible for the leadership and direct management of clinical and non-clinical staff members; including performance management, compensation administration, employee development. My role included leading and guiding a multidisciplinary team to achieve financial, utilization and quality outcome measures for specific geographic areas in North East Florida.  In addition, my past work experiences include being a small business owner, registered nurse and project specialist.  I hold a Master of Management in Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida. I call myself a Floridian since I have been in the sunshine state since the age of ten. When I’m not working or teaching, my other interests are reading, running, and weight training.
