Dr. Ivan Gulmesoff is an Adjunct Professor with the Applied Aerospace Science Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He holds a Doctorate in Global Security from American Military University and a Master of Aeronautical Science, with dual specializations in Aviation/Aerospace Management and Space Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He enlisted in the United States Navy on November 14th, 1998, fueled by a passion for aeronautics and an eagerness to excel. Throughout his career, he served in pivotal Naval Aviation leadership roles and locations, including within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and the U.S. European Command, as well as numerous bases along the east and west coasts of the United States. As an Aviation Machinist’s Mate and later as an Aerospace Engineering Duty Officer, he excelled in both intermediate and organizational aviation maintenance, with a primary focus on the F/A-18 Hornet, P-3 Orion, and C-40 Clipper (Boeing 737) aircraft. His extensive experience includes deployments to strategic operational areas within the Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh Fleets. Today, he remains passionate about aeronautics and is dedicated to advancing the knowledge landscape through rigorous critical thinking and innate curiosity. His research interests extend beyond aeronautics to encompass global security, blockchain technology, and the complex challenges of space weaponization.
