Gearing up to head to Oshkosh? So are we.
For aviation and aerospace enthusiasts, EAA AirVenture is the place to be. For one week, people passionate about aviation come together to connect, collaborate and celebrate their love of flight.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is an EAA AirVenture regular, so we’ve compiled a list of tips to help you make the most of your experience.
1. Stack the Schedule Before You Arrive
When you’re at Oshkosh, Wi-Fi can be unpredictable, so be sure to download the PDF schedule before you arrive.
We recommend picking out your must-see events first, then choosing a few things nearby to stop in at! Organizing your time by location will make sure you are where you need to be.
2. Hack the Food Lines
Food lines are the busiest from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Cut down the time you spend in line by grabbing a bite outside of these hours and packing your own snacks to enjoy!
3. Pack the Essentials
As you pack your bag for each day, make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable time! Essentials include sunscreen, sunglasses, toiletries, a phone charger and water!
If you’re looking to go the extra mile (and thank yourself later), you could bring:
- Extra socks or shoes
- Hand sanitizer
- Ear plugs
- A hat or mini fan
4. Bring Your Best Networking
Oshkosh is a great place to connect with fellow aviation enthusiasts, professionals and your peers in the field!
If you’re looking for connection that lasts, make sure to pack your business cards so you can reconnect with your contacts later! Whether you’re a student, business owner or just looking to make friends, don’t miss this opportunity.
5. Visit Booth 49
Make sure you stop in at booth 49 to check out Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University! We’ll be there — and we can’t wait to meet you and hear about your Oshkosh experience.
