ATP Flight School, the nation’s largest flight training provider, and Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University have announced a strategic partnership.

Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University Associate Professor of Safety Science Dr. Rajee Olaganathan recently represented the university at the Sustainable Aviation Futures (SAF) North America Congress, held Oct. 14-16 in Houston, Texas.

Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University has established a new tradition of international engagement through its International Ambassador Program, which connects students, faculty and industry partners around the world and is quickly becoming a key part of the university’s commitment to global collaboration, innovation, research and academic excellence.

Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University’s Golden Eagles Flight Team soared to its 39th consecutive regional championship title after dominating the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) SAFECON Region II competition.

A collaboration between Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University and the Prescott Western Heritage Foundation was announced during a private reception at the Western Heritage Center prior to the Foundation’s Boots on the Row fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Aircraft manufacturer AURA AERO has cut the ribbon on an 11,000 sq. ft facility at Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University’s Research Park that will serve as its U.S. headquarters and first production site. The campus will host the North American Delivery and Customer Support Center for the INTEGRAL program and lay the groundwork for the company’s hybrid-electric ERA aircraft.

Flexjet Chairman Kenn Ricci, his wife Pamela and their family have endowed two faculty chairs at Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University focused on innovation in aviation, aerospace or space. Not only will the two gifts enable the university to address the industry’s most important innovation challenges, but the gifts will also attract top faculty talent and drive student innovation at Embry‑Riddle, the global leader in aviation and aerospace higher education.

Nine Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University faculty members have been recognized for outstanding research and innovation through the university's Research Awards Program.

In his latest Aviation Week essay, Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University President P. Barry Butler, Ph.D., highlights how cubesats have come to make space engineering and science accessible to a wide range of players through partnerships among commercial space companies, universities and NASA.
