David Bricker is a retired air traffic controller. He started in the USAF at Vance AFB, Oklahoma (KEND) from 1993 to 1996, followed by Osan AB, S. Korea (RKSO) from May 1996 to May 1997 and RAF Lakenheath, UK (EGUL) from May 1997 to July 2000. His USAF ATC career was all in approach (RAPCON is the USAF term). He was hired with the FAA at Albuquerque ARTCC (ZAB) in December 2000 and retired on February 28, 2025. He worked in the Southwest area at ZAB and was a NATCA rep for most of his career. He served three terms as area rep and two as ZAB VP and was involved in more than 20 workgroups of various functions. The longest term was the ERAM CHI team, which he served for about 11 years.
David completed his B.S. in 1999 through Worldwide at RAF Lakenheath and his M.A.S. through Worldwide in 2007 at Kirtland AFB, NM. He started as an adjunct shortly after and began his Ph.D. with Northcentral University, finishing in 2010. He completed a second Master's degree in Psychology and a third in Education, also through Northcentral University.
Outside of teaching, he is an avid video gamer and soccer fan. He has two daughters and has been married for nearly a decade to his wife, Adrianna Woltman, an Embry-Riddle alumna.
