George Krakowski is an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Decision Science and Analytics, College of Business, Daytona Beach Campus. His main areas of responsibility are teaching logistics, management and public administration courses.
Professor Krakowski has achieved an All But Dissertation (ABD) from Northcentral University, an MBA from Northcentral University, an MPA from Golden Gate University, a B.A. from the University of Maryland and an A.A. from the Community College of the Air Force. His professional background includes extensive U.S. Air Force Military service and federal civil service with the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy.
Associate Professor Krakowski specializes in the optimization of the management of air cargo and logistics management for aviation disciplines. Professor Krakowski's military background consisted of extended service in the U.S. Air Force in Asia, Europe and the United States, achieving the rank of major. He participated in combat operations with the 1st Air Commando Squadron in Pleiku, South Vietnam, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for support of kinetic combat operations. Additional assignments include air operations support at Korat Royal Thai Air Base, Thailand; staff officer with U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany; squadron commander at RAF Bentwaters, England; and staff officer with Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. He completed honorable and distinguished military service overseas and in the United States in various capacities, including support, managerial, command and leadership roles. After leaving the U.S. Air Force, Professor Krakowski served as director of commercial services management and command evaluation (inspector general) at the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk, U.S. Navy, from 2005 to March 2012. He was also the director of employee training and development at NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk, from 2002 to 2005.
Beyond Professor Krakowski's 31 years of eclectic teaching experience encompassing over 600 traditional and online courses, Professor Krakowski was also a member of the College of Business Faculty Senate from 2014 to 2015 and served on the President’s Council from 1998 to 2000.
