Jennifer Roberts serves as chair of the Department of Aviation English, where she leads efforts to develop and implement aviation English training solutions for individuals seeking to strengthen their English proficiency for operational contexts within the global aviation industry.
Before joining Embry-Riddle, Roberts served as an English Language Fellow in Indonesia through the U.S. Department of State, focusing on teacher training, curriculum development, and community engagement. Her international experience continues to inform her work in advancing effective communication standards and linguistic competency in aviation environments.
Roberts also serves as Vice President of the International Civil Aviation English Association (ICAEA), where she contributes to global initiatives that promote research, collaboration and best practices in aviation English education and assessment.
Outside of her professional work, Roberts enjoys traveling to new destinations, exploring local cuisines, staying active and caring for her houseplants.
