Learn English at Embry-Riddle
The Embry-Riddle Language Institute (ERLI) is an intensive English program providing English-language instruction and cultural orientation to non-native speakers of English.
As a student in the ERLI program, you'll improve your English language skills while immersing yourself in the Embry-Riddle community. We offer the ERLI program at our beautiful residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Prescott, Arizona. Learn with classmates from around the world as you access our world-class aviation and aerospace resources and facilities.
Our courses cover English grammar, writing, reading, listening and speaking. In addition, take academic topics courses that teach English through American culture, aviation, business and psychology. Through the Daytona Beach ERLI Pathway Program, you may also be able to earn credit toward your degree.
One Result, Multiple Paths
When you finish the program, you will have confidence in your English language skills and will be able to enter Embry-Riddle or other universities prepared for success. If you apply to Embry-Riddle, you may receive conditional acceptance until you complete your English requirements (IBT 79, IELTS 6.0, Duolingo 105, Cambridge 170, EIKEN Pre-1) or successfully complete the ERLI program.
Our Mission
The mission of the Embry‑Riddle Language Institute (ERLI) is to provide high-quality English language instruction that prepares non-native speakers to enter and succeed at Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University or other U.S. universities.
As a student in the ERLI program, you'll be a full Embry-Riddle student, with complete access to the top-notch facilities and services that all of our students enjoy.
ERLI students also receive:
