College of Engineering Senior Design Lab

Students collaborate on industry-relevant, two-semester capstone projects that mirror professional engineering environments. Working in multidisciplinary teams, they gain hands-on experience designing, integrating and presenting complex systems.

The College of Engineering maintains workspaces for a wide range of two-semester senior design teams who practice team skills while working on relevant projects that prepare them for life in the industry.

At any time, this space may house a propulsion team or spacecraft team, with students collaborating within attitude and control, electronics, structures and integration subteams.

Their projects might include propulsion and energy systems or satellite and aircraft components, and this lab space provides high-end computers with dual monitors to facilitate the modern design process, along with adjoining conference rooms for meetings, planning and presentation preparation in an environment similar to what students will find in the industry.
