The Markets, Energy, Trading and Aerospace Lab (METAL) brings global financial markets into the classroom, giving undergraduate and graduate students real-time access to Bloomberg data and professional tools used across finance, economics, supply chain, energy and aerospace. Home to the Embry-Riddle Investing Club (ERIC), the lab provides students with hands-on experience analyzing companies, industries, commodities, securities and global market trends. METAL is also open weekly to the university community for Bloomberg certification and applied skills development, helping students build the financial fluency and market-ready skills that employers expect. Here, students don’t just study markets; they analyze them, invest in them and learn to navigate the forces shaping the global aviation and aerospace economy.
