The Special Projects Lab serves as a working space for a variety of student projects and clubs associated with the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department.

Students engaged in project-based courses use the room to develop their products and rehearse against project objectives. It is also used as a general study space where upper-class students can informally advise more inexperienced students.

The lab is also the home of the IEEE Daytona Section student branch and affiliated groups. These groups include the Artificial Intelligence Club, Women in Engineering, Mobile Application Development Club and the White Hat Eagles Cyber Security Club.

The lab also includes a circuit board milling station (LPKF ProtoMat S103) that supports rapid turnaround manufacturing for a variety of labs and projects.
