Saule Kondra: Aviator, Boeing Scholar and Business Leader

Getting Involved with Business and Campus Life

Throughout her time at Embry-Riddle, Saule has gotten involved in the Pickleball Club’s competitive team, even helping to secure a sponsorship from Embry-Riddle alumni Kolin Jones (’23), founder and CEO of Amalfi Jets.

Saule is also a member of the Business Aviation Students Association (BASA) and joined the executive board, where she is currently in charge of social media outreach. BASA prepares students for business and the industry through networking events, industry speakers, facility tours and more.

“My favorite memory from the club this past year was being able to attend the NBAA BACE conference in Las Vegas with some of my closest friends,” she shared. “During this trip, I had the opportunity to network with some of the biggest names in aviation and to learn more overall about the industry.”

Recently, Saule was accepted into Business Eagles, a selective undergraduate student organization that provides students with access to specialized leadership and professional development opportunities, preparing them to be the industry leaders of tomorrow.

Saule also received BASA’s networking award at the annual award ceremony hosted by BASA and the Embry-Riddle collegiate chapter of Future Business Leaders of America.

Blending Academics and Leadership

In the David B. O’Maley College of Business (COB), Saule took on a role with the college’s social media team.

“We produce content covering major events on campus and in the COB and make sure that students, faculty and alumni are recognized for their amazing accomplishments,” she explained. “We also inform students of all the great programs the COB has to offer and explain how they can get involved."

In April, Saule was elected as a College of Business senator for the 2026-27 academic year. She hopes to work with other members of Embry-Riddle's Student Government Association to create “a stronger, more inclusive community for everyone.”

"One of my goals includes increasing funding for College of Business clubs to attend events that help students gain exposure to real-world experiences within the industry,” she explained.

As a Discover Program mentor next year, Saule will work with first-generation students to help them transition more easily into university life, answering questions and offering guidance when needed.

“I was a mentee this past academic year, and next year I will be a mentor for the incoming first-year students,” she said. “I chose to become a mentor because my mentor helped me significantly in getting involved on campus and coming out of my shell in a way.”

Interning at Textron Aviation

This summer, Saule is interning at Textron Aviation in a sales operations role. Saule heard about the role when she attended her first career fair during the fall 2025 semester.

“I made as many connections within the company as possible afterward and attended every Textron networking event, including the Lunch and Learn,” she said. “I really loved how strong Textron is as a company, especially in the aircraft sales side.”

After Saule completes her degree, she hopes to use the sales and business experience she has gained in college to jumpstart her career.

“I hope to start my career in aircraft sales and then eventually start my own flight training program. I would also like to set up a scholarship foundation to help others achieve their dreams of flying,” she shared.

Overall, Saule feels that being a part of a tight-knit community and saying yes to every opportunity has helped her in reaching her goals.

“When everyone around me is incredibly passionate and focused, it makes me feel inspired to chase my aspirations,” she said. “I am incredibly grateful for my family and my mentor for encouraging me to give 110% effort in everything that I do.”
